I used to have a fantastic group of 18 homeschoolers that I taught for many years before Covid-19 hit. Unfortunately, since Covid, Art Zone Studio hasn't been able to offer any classes for homeschoolers. This year, I'm determined to change that. Let's bring art and creativity back into your homeschooler(s)' busy curriculum.

Art Zone is offering a special starting price of $110 per child per month for homeschoolers for the 2024-2025 school year if you register before September 1st. There is a $10 sibling discount. (The standard price for other classes is $130 per child.)
Art Classes for Homeschoolers are offered year-round (August to May) in Birmingham, AL.
Art Classes are crucial to developing multi-use skills, such as creativity and independence, and giving students a way of expressing ideas through art. You cannot learn how to draw in just one day or even one month.
That’s why we offer an ONGOING program, with admission on a rolling basis, to gradually help your child learn and master a variety of art techniques - scale, composition, shading, color theory, values, and drawing/painting using charcoal, colored pencils, watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint (for older kids), soft and oil pastel, paper mache, and much more.
Children will learn how to draw plants, animals, people, imaginary creatures, landscapes, still lives, and cartoons. The instructor is very inventive and flexible. We teach children not just to copy, but to think, generate ideas, and lead their picture to a finished point with a story and meaning behind it.
Art Zone is unique because we combine traditional European art institute approaches with American art school teaching methods, allowing for students to receive a range of perspectives.
